Materials (books, articles, class notes, solutions, sample tests, etc.) selected by faculty members may be placed "on reserve" for a semester for use by students in their classes. These materials may be made available in print or electronically.

Where are they?

  • Print reserves can be found at the Library Services Desk on the 4th floor of Cooper Library or at the Architecture Library Reserves Shelves (Lee Hall).
  • Canvas

  • Log in to Canvas and enter a course
  • Select Library Resources from the navigation menu
  • Select eReserves under the Library 24/7 heading
  • Find your course and use the password provided by the professor for access
  • Blackboard (until May 17)

  • Log in to Blackboard
  • Select Library Resources from the top menu
  • Select eReserves from the Library 24/7 box
  • Find your course and use the password provided by the professor for access

Adobe Acrobat is needed to view Blackboard reserve items. Campus Lab computers have Acrobat loaded. Download the Acrobat Reader from http://www.adobe.com/. Call the Help Desk at (864)656-3494 for assistance.

How long can I keep it?

Check out periods for Reserve materials vary from two hours to two weeks. Some material may be restricted to Library Use Only.

Fines
Most reserve materials have hourly or daily loan periods and fines are assessed at $1 per hour or day accordingly.
