Materials (books, articles, class notes, solutions, sample tests, etc.) selected by faculty members may be placed "on reserve" for a semester for use by students in their classes. These materials may be made available in print or electronically.

Where are they?

Print reserves

At the Library Services Desk on the 4th floor of Cooper Library or at the Architecture Library Reserves Shelves in Lee Hall

Electronic Reserves (Canvas)

  1. Log in to Canvas and enter the course
  2. Select Library Resources from the navigation menu
  3. Select eReserves under the Library 24/7 heading
  4. Find your course and use the password provided by the professor for access

Adobe Acrobat is needed to view reserve items in PDF. Campus Lab computers have Acrobat loaded. You can download the Acrobat Reader for free (uncheck the other boxes on the page) and call the Help Desk at 864-656-3494 if you need assistance.

How long can I keep it?

Check out periods for Reserve materials vary from two hours to two weeks. Some material may be restricted to Library Use Only.

Most reserve materials have hourly or daily loan periods and fines are assessed at $1 per hour or day accordingly.
